“The software behind this new device is a new release of the software we deployed at the now well known immigrant workers dormitory in Singapore,” explain Myles Kendrick, Director at XID. “That system is the worlds largest of its kind and has been in operation for more than one year now. It is operating in a blue-collar environment, outdoors, 24/7; this is a very complex environment so clearly, this new device has solid, robust software behind it.”
“To date, these units have been deployed for customers in the education sector in Singapore and projects are now underway in Malaysia, Italy and Israel,” continues Kendrick.
The device houses a camera, 4’ TFT monitor and either a card reader or keypad. It is controlled by a separate controller interface supporting four wiegand device connections and eight output relays.
XID also offer kiosk based solutions. These fully mobile, self contained units offer a 15’ LCD monitor making them suitable for scenarios in which it is important to display key information to the user. XID’s kiosks are now in operation in the USA, Canada, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Italy and Croatia.

“Our solutions are deployed either directly by XID or via a chosen system integrator depending on the project size and customer requirements,” says Kendrick. “We are continually looking for channel partners and resellers with specific capabilities in their particular market. This enables us to not only reach a broad base of customers but also to ensure efficient and well maintained solutions for those customers.”
